A NETWORK OF VOLUNTEERS

NWAB has 12 permanent staff headed by the Secretary who, in turn, is assisted by a 10-member board.
A bulk of its activities is however implemented by volunteers drawn from all walks of life: villagers, civil servants, businessmen/women, and even the clergy.
As the head of the volunteer groups in the districts, the wife of the district administrator (Dzongda) is responsible for planning and implementing the NWAB activities at the grassroots levels.
Today, nearly all the 20 districts in the Kingdom have NWAB volunteer groups.
